Lucky Dube is one of South Africa's most celebrated and influential musicians, recognised both locally and internationally for bringing African reggae to a global audience. Born in Ermelo, Mpumalanga, in 1964, Dube began his music career performing mbaqanga before transitioning to reggae in the early 1980s, a move that would define his legacy.
